Thrifty Car & Truck Rental Preston

Amazing vehicles and services from my previous three times car rental experiences here. Guess I will still be a customer here until I buy my own car or go back.

The staff were great, phone staff fantastic. Truck was ok BUT: - Thrifty do not rent out the remote for the lift at the back of the truck. This makes it impossible for the person holding the item at the back of the truck to also lift the lift. Someone under the truck who cant see what’s happening with the load on the back has to do it. And I didn't find this out until the very last second before I left with the truck for some jobs on my own - that was bad! I had to get some random lady to raise and lower the tray and me and my fridge. Also. A $500 bond is acceptable - BUT it will be keep for up to 10 days!!! Thrifty will say that it has to do with the credit companies. Ok fair enough - get another company! take cash! (they dont), do a simple bank transfer to give my deposit back! stop using a company that cant transfer money. If I can give you my money instantly, but you cant give it back for 5 - 10 days that seems rude and unnecessary in a time when I can send the same amount to someone in a developing nation within a couple of hours. I imagine this is just an opportunity for someone along the chain to make interest on the customer's money while they hold it for a week.

Overall staff was very friendly. Had a member Bianca help me out and made me feel very welcome. The whole process was very easy and was happy with the experience.

All staff were very friendly and helpful, fully explained the operations of the truck and made the process super easy both at pick up and drop off.
