A campground right behind a white sandy beach with views along the coast and various headlands. Can be calm and pleasant or big swells unsuitable for swimming. Good for long walks with views. A peaceful and tranquil spot relatively unspoilt. Good for those who enjoy beaching camping.

Beautiful views, but the owners of the campsite pose as council, come into the public carpark after 8pm & threaten people with $280 fines if they don't move to the campsite & pay to camp... even if you have no intention to camp. If you refuse their instructions (they don't own the carpark & have no authority within it) they become violent. Avoid interacting with these people for your own safety.

Great spot. The setting is amazing, the squid fishing from the jetty was terrific. No power or water but if you are self contained this is a very, very enjoyable site.

What an awesome EXPERINCE!
Rapid Bay Campground is an awesome place to escape to. A relaxingly isolated location mixed with pristine ocean you can't really go wrong. The toilets were clean, there was a communal beach shower, plenty of bins around. The grounds are an easy 5 minute walk to the jetty or a 10 minute walk to the cave. Only downsides were having to pay cash, and no drinking water available but with proper preparation those issues are removed. My partner and I Really enjoyed our stay. Thanks guys 👍

Great but too expensive for no hot water showers and drinking water an issue. Staff friendly and helpful.
