After a initial "Bad Experience" ive received a phone call from management stating that due to covid reasons my kids couldnt see the bird off, and that the lady we dealt with had obviously bad manners. As a result ive changed/updated the review and feedback rating. There is still room for improvement though.

Called them on the weekend and received detailed advice. Great to know that places like this exist.

Firstly I would like to say I have the utmost respect for anyone involved in animal rescue . I understand there are hard decisions that need to be made. I took a baby magpie yesterday to Native Animal Rescue (NAR) which was found in the middle of the road on a very hot day. After returning to the site for 2 days to reunite the chick & no parents present I nursed it to health for 2 weeks. I took it to (NAR) believing it was the best thing to do. . I rang the very next day & was told it was put down due to a broken leg. The bird was not in pain- it was eating well & putting on weight. The carer we left the magpie with didn't hide her dislike of magpies. She made no further enquiries of where we found the fledgling to reunite with its family. I'm disappointed to say the least. . If I had known I would have nursed the bird myself until it was mature enough to join other juveniles. The young birds stay in the parents' territory then form loose flocks, feeding and roosting together. I am no expert but had a baby magpie years ago which went on to have a long natural life. This bird was starting to roost and use the bad leg. As mentioned it was not in pain. I wish I didn't take it to NAR>

Called for assistance the other day. The woman I spoke with was really rude, condescending and overall unhelpful and told me to contact another agency... Shame. Date was 11 of march 2021 at 2pm...
