Terrible service and unhelpful, can't get a straight answer out of them and your lucky if you can even get through to them on the phone. I have sent countless emails enquiring about my eligibility for dual PNG/Australian citizenship for the past 6 months and not 1 single reply. Unfortunately google reviews won't let you rate a zero or a minus, i think a rating of 1 is far to generous.......pathetic outfit.

The visa staff here is utterly disappointing. I have to travel to PNG regularly and so I've had to apply for a visa multiple times. The first time, the lady accepted my application and told me that everything was in order and she would inform me once it was done processing. She called me a few days later and asked for a medical form that I had forgotten to submit and said that the application had not yet started processing. The second time, the same lady processed my application and informed me that she would call me once the application was done processing to confirm pick up. I didn't get a call and when I called back to inquire a week after the regular processing time, she said the visa had been processed a week ago. The third time, the same lady processed my application and when I dropped off my passport said that the processing time would be 1 week. I confirmed with her since it was a non-Australian passport and she said: "Yeah, no problem." She called me back later that day and said that it would take 3 weeks to process since it's not an Australian passport. I told her that I'd checked with her, but she said sorry, but just forget about the pick up date and I asked for a new one and she's like don't worry about it. I called in the beginning of every week for 3 weeks (as per her instructions) to check if the visa had been processed and she said no every time. In the start of the 4th week, she tells me my visa has been rejected and when I asked when the decision has been made, she said this morning. I know for a fact that PNG immigration does not work weekends, which means my application had already been sitting there. Furthermore, she said she had no idea why the decision had been made and would call me back. And obviously, I received no call back. Utterly pathetic service from such a strategic partner of Australia. This lady's customer service is truly unsatisfactory and I don't know how she could be employed in such an important section of the High Commission.
