Darwin Airport is (surprisingly) good! This isn't a back handed compliment - compare the population & throughput and it doesn't compute - you would expect something similar to Newcastle, for instance. It surprises and how! Nicely designed, reasonable commute from the city, great connectivity, friendly helpful staff and spacious to boot... Not a lot to do if you have 12 hrs to spend here, but then the city is close enough for a visit, if you're transiting...

There is a lot of renovation occurring. This reduces seating capacity and catering capacity airside. At the time of this report even the qantas club was closed. These renovations have been very poorly considered and planned.

Leading the way!! Latest scanning technology, u don't have to take phones or laptop out of your bag. Best state for covid checks when landing, very efficient process.
