Yes it's touristy but for a good reason. I've visited the lavender fields in the French Provence and would say that these ones in Tasmania come pretty close. The scenery is absolutely stunning and a great place for photos. They also sell some lavender scented products - I highly recommend you to try the lavender ice cream; it's delicious!

Drove out here from Scottsdale while on holiday to support a local business and buy Christmas presents. We got as far as the gate where we were asked to pay a staggering $20 pp entry fee- just to buy from their gift shop!?! ( we did not want to do a farm tour and the entry fee ‘discount’ for the gift shop was cancelled out by the entry fee itself.) Clearly, only rich tourists, not locals, need apply to visit here; good luck with that business model in a COVID19 world. So, disappointed and frustrated we turned away , drove all the way back to Scottsdale and were delighted to discover the delightful and welcoming Little Rivers Brewery instead!

Lavender farm is really nice, the $20 entry fee though is steep. Really makes you reconsider going. They need to do what Cadbury used to do where that entry fee gave you also a small bag with a range of product samples. Could lead to more sales as well.

Poor management, been served differently. Queued up at the food area, took 15 minutes to served 2 people in the front. When I order, Sandra told me to order at the shop. No sign or any instruction at the good corner but a menu on the wall. Placed my detailed order at the shop, the cashier asked flavor, size and thw container i would like my food in. Took the receipt to the food corner. The couple in front of me was served before paying. Sandra has a point of sale terminal at the same place and accepted the payment on spot. Sandra asked me the same questions that the cashier at the shop asked. I have to repeat the order again. The entire experience to get an ice cream order was horrible. Nothing to do with the farm, worth a visit. Very friendly tour guide.
