Disappointment is an understatement. I had read the bad reviews and gave HSBC Adelaide branch the benefit of the doubt - I phoned in the morning to be told I could come in at any time to have ID verification done. Spend time and money going down to adelaide's only branch - just to be told - sorry no one is available to do this for you today - we can make you an appointment for another day. Pfffft No thanks. Having one of the best interest rates means nothing when the service is poor and no effort is put in to customer service.

Good interest rates and low bank fees, but the bank is inflexible and customer service is poor. Internet banking app is improving, but is still clunky and hard to use.

Adelaide branch is really a joke ,try to open an acc,(already had completed application form on line) but the teller lady didn't even know which documents makes a 100 points?!?!?!?! Asked me to bring the whole "library" with me...
