Went to purchase alcohol at local IGA store in Alice Springs. Was asked for proof of ID by what can only be described as a little boy in a uniform .
He refused my driver's licence as ID because my Christian name has been worn away. Even though my photo and all other details were clear.
Disgraceful abuse of power. 69 year old well presented individual being treated disrespectfully by a little twerp. His arrogant off sider wasn't any better. I thought my home state of Victoria was becoming a police state. It appears the disease is spreading.

Had our car broken into while in town. Response was fast and professional. Officers were friendly and informative. Offered genuine advice on a range of places to assist with fixing our window. Took our report and gave realistic expectations of outcome. A+ service.

Poor service, they make people come back many times with little mistake and their poor system thats always down! i hope they also do the criminal record check on the counter or maybe build another post office in Alice Springs, the ONE AND ONLY post office cant do it all might as well just shut down.
